Adding social bookmarks to your WordPress.com posts – Redux

Hillel added a comment to my previous post on adding social bookmarks to your WordPress.com blog. He’s put together a nifty downloadable wizard that makes the process of adding social bookmarks to your wordpress.com blog a little bit easier. Check it out here:

GetSocial – Social Bookmarking for WordPress.com

And the result looks like this:

In “Mini” style:
Add to FacebookAdd to DiggAdd to Del.icio.usAdd to StumbleuponAdd to RedditAdd to BlinklistAdd to Ma.gnoliaAdd to TechnoratiAdd to FurlAdd to Newsvine

In “Classic” style:
Add to FacebookAdd to DiggAdd to Del.icio.usAdd to StumbleuponAdd to RedditAdd to BlinklistAdd to Ma.gnoliaAdd to TechnoratiAdd to FurlAdd to Newsvine

In “Design” style:
Add to FacebookAdd to NewsvineAdd to DiggAdd to Del.icio.usAdd to StumbleuponAdd to RedditAdd to BlinklistAdd to Ma.gnoliaAdd to TechnoratiAdd to Furl

And finally in “Mini Design” style:
Add to FacebookAdd to NewsvineAdd to DiggAdd to Del.icio.usAdd to StumbleuponAdd to RedditAdd to BlinklistAdd to Ma.gnoliaAdd to TechnoratiAdd to Furl
His wizard works great and is a well thought out tool for making this a “no-brainer”. There seems to be a spacing problem between the images, which is particularly visible in the “mini” and “classic” styles, but I’m betting that has something to do with the CSS of my theme. I’d test that by changing my theme, bet every time a change themes I have to put everything back in place. So instead, I’ll ask you my dear readers to give Hillel’s tool a go and see how it works on your theme. Be sure to report back in! In the meantime I’ll use the “mini design” style.

A big thanks redux from Wandering electrons to Hillel, and again to running through rain; nothing better than having a choice!

    Thanks for your review!

The spacing problem is caused by theme/css issues concerning image spacing – it should work okay with most themes though. I’ll see what I can do about this for future versions of GeetSocial.

    Hillel 🙂
