Can the direction of the “cascade windows” function in Microsoft be reversed?

(I originally posted this article on my other blog on October 25 2007)

I’ve already posted this to the (Opera) forums but I thought I’d go ahead and launch this bottle in the sea here as well to see if anyone out there can tell me how to do this…

Currently when you right click on the Widows start bar and select “Cascade” you get this (click on the thumbnail for a larger image):
windowscascade.jpg

Which is just silly, because when you choose something in the middle, you suddenly don’t know what’s underneath it; the only thing you can see is the close button:

What I want is to be able to automatically have Windows cascade in the other direction:
windowscascade_wanted.jpg

That way, when a middle window is open, you can still see all the program icons, and you thus know what’s there:

Does anybody out there have a way of doing this? I can’t be the only one that wants this; it seems so much more logical to me…

Thanks in advance!
